Belgian Dubbel

Brewed with a variety of specialty malts, raisins, Belgian Candi Sugar and a traditional Belgian yeast - our Belgian Dubbel is one of the more complex Belgian Ales we've brewed.

The specialty malts - consisting of Belgian & German biscuit, caramel & roasted malts - combine to add biscuit, bread, raisin, nut and plum flavors.

Adding to the complexity of this beer are raisins and dark Belgian candi sugar. Added to the boil, the candi sugar adds a lingering soft caramel flavor to the brew that stays on the pallet long after the beer has left your mouth. The raisins tie the beer together adding raisin flavor (believe it or not) that complements the caramel and malt flavors from the grain and dark sugar.

To cap it all off, as with nearly all Belgian brews, Double is fermented with a traditional Belgian yeast that adds fruity and spicy flavors with hints of plum.
